Like fellow Novel Spaces author Farrah Rochon, I’m taking the Nanowrimo plunge. It's been a long time since I successfully completed a Nano book - 2004. It's not easy, but it is doable.
So meet my constant companions for the month - Starbucks coffee and an Alphasmart.
I’ll give ya’ll an update on November 18th, when I’ll probably look something like this:
I did over 1300 words yesterday. Not my goal, but not a bad start for me.
ReplyDeleteThat's great, Tom!
ReplyDeleteI did 1200 words yesterday.
Like you, I'm hoping to kick it up a bit.
Luck
ReplyDeleteGood luck, Phyllis and Tom!
ReplyDeleteI got started with a stellar 4400 words yesterday, but since I won't be able to write this weekend, it'll all just average out by the end of November.
Happy Writign!
I'm doing Nano too. Got my ipad (with bluetooth keyboard), my mac and Scrivener when I'm at home and my coffee. :) Should be a fun ride.

Gee, If only someone had warned us about NaNoWriMo, like, six weeks ago....
ReplyDeleteGood luck. I'm sitting this one out.
Thanks Charles and KeVin! I'll take all the luck I can get.
ReplyDeleteWow, Farrah! Your keyboard must be smoking! Good idea to stockpile the words.
Brenda - What writing apps are you using on your iPad for Nano?
I outlined my WIP with Index Card, which is comparable to Scrivener. Also, it's supposed to be compatible with Scrivener 2.0. For writing I like iA Writer.
Pyhllis, post a picture of yourself on Nov 18th and we'll compare it to that mug (lol).
ReplyDeleteGood luck to all of you brave enough to take the plunge.
Good luck, Phyllis. I'm in awe of those who tackle this one.
ReplyDeleteIt is what it is.
ReplyDeleteI'm keeping my streak alive by not participating in it.
But I'll probably watch everyone get frazzled in doing something that they all do for a living to beging with, and say to myself:
"Why?"
November is always the busiest month of the year for me, so once again I'm not doing NaNoWriMo. But I wish everyone who is good luck and happy typing!
