Are Readers the Best People to Fall in Love With?

Today I'm sharing a great post written for Elite Daily by Lauren Martin, which looks at the "scientifically proven" notion that readers are the best people to fall in love with. My daughter had posted this link on her Facebook page, and I thought I'd share it with you.

Lauren says that according to Cunningham research, finding someone who reads is like dating a thousand souls, and that if you date someone who reads, then you, too, will live a thousand different lives. It also mentions that readers are more intelligent. I won't argue that!

I'm sure that some of my avid readers like Orsayor Simmons, Sharon Simmons, Antionette Gates and others can relate!

Please offer any feedback if you have any thoughts on this!

  1. I always knew there was something special about readers!!! I wonder if the same can be said about writers. Well, come to think of it, most writers are readers, so there.

  2. My name is Orsayor L. Simmons (Founder of Book Referees) and I approve this message.

I consider myself to be a deep reader. (BTW - I love that term). I have been fortunate to read books that has left my heart on the floor, books that motivated me to become a better person, books that have healed past wounds.

I do agree that the deep reader is becoming extinct - we are in a "rush" society. No one really takes the time to dig deep in books.

  3. Yes! Readers are the best people to fall in love with. We are the best people to talk to because we get the root of the problem instead of glazing over things. Deep Readers are thoughtful people - giving people - and always love to see a smile on other people face.
